Data Privacy Policy

Introduction

Avionix, llc, [Avionix, we], collects and processes personal data of its prospects, customers, suppliers and partners [users, you] for the purpose of establishing and maintaining a business relationship and to be able to provide our products and services. We are committed to fulfil and comply with the requirements set out by the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This policy outlines the extent of personal data collected and processed by Avionix.

Personal data collected by Avionix

Our website generally is usable without sharing personal data. However we do use technologies such as cookies, site usage analytics and social media integrations to improve our site.
Cookies are a small piece of code saved by your browser that store personal preferences and settings. Most modern browsers allow you to disable the use of cookies. However we cannot guarantee a seamless user experience if you choose to disable their use. Further more we collect data such as your rough location based on semi anonymised IP address, browser and operating system information. We do not analyse your click flow.
Our website may use the possibility to share parts of the site on social media platforms such as Facebook, Google or Twitter. We may use cookies and other technologies to count their usage and limit sharing or for fraud protection.

If you choose to reach out to us via our web forms, we may collect the following data in order to be able to offer our services and products: Company name, job title, first and last name, phone numbers, email addresses, mailing address and bank account details and full IP address. The IP address is used for fraud protection and is deleted after a successful check against known black lists.
During the process of conducting business Avionix generates and collects further data about its users and may use any data to customise offerings or aid in decisions regarding repeat business.

We do not collect or process sensitive personal data (i.e. health data, political or religious views, sexual orientation, etc.) nor do we use any data for automated profiling or decision making.

Opting in to data processing

By submitting any personal data to Avionix you agree to data processing as required by Avionix to offer our serviced and products. This includes saving your submission in our customer resource management, sales, invoicing and accounting tools. Some of these tools may implement technologies to track and log communications such as email, phone calls or chats. These technologies assist Avionix in providing high quality service to its users. If you wish to receive our newsletter, you will be required to indicate this during submission.

Data storage and security

We use SSL end-to-end encryption to ensure that data you submit is sent and received in a secure and encrypted fashion. Avionix owned systems store data in a number of locations within the European Union to ensure business continuity in the event of technical failure or an event of higher power. All data is encrypted and technical measures have been adopted to ensure access is limited to Avionix only. Furthermore we have implemented company internal processes and policies to classify and regulate access to personal data and ensure compliance with these policies.
We use third-party Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) providers for our company internal needs. All enlisted data centers are fully ISO27001:2013, SOC 2 Type II and PCI-DSS compliant.

We require our third-party IaaS providers to fully comply with GDPR by May 28, 2018.

Third-party data processors

Avionix partners with a number of third-party data processors for their offers in critical business applications. These are our customer relationship management tool Pipedrive OÜ located in Estonia, our accounting software Smart Accounts OÜ, Estonia, our invoicing and sales tool by Bexio AG, Switzerland and a newsletter campaign management tool by The Rocket Science Group, USA. As with our technical service providers, we require all our third-party data processors to be fully compliant with both technical security certifications and GDPR requirements by latest 28 May 2018.

Transferring data outside the EU

Avionix may transfer a copy of your personal data to a data processor or storage outside the European Union. Avionix as data collector remains in full ownership of the transferred data and will only transfer to third-party.

Disclosing personal data

Avionix will not, under any circumstance disclose personal data with 3rd parties, except where a legal and valid request is made by law enforcement agencies.

Access, corrections and erasure of personal data

You can contact us any time to request access to data that Avionix has about you and where it is stored; correct any information that Avionix has bout you; delete any information that Avionix has about you.
